I identify with Patrick because of his struggles with his body image, his just general low self esteem for people’s criticism (something that has bothered me my whole life, I just can’t seem to take it well). I feel like Patrick has a lot of the same battles with attention that I do. He seemingly constantly puts his opinion out there and definitely seems to crave response, but at the same time can’t take negativity. I often feel the same way. Additionally, being a pop punk singer song writer that loves pop melody, I appreciate a lot of the same things Patrick does. He is by far the most dominating musical influence in my life.
